  • This registration will pay for course registration fees for one person for the week of Three Dimensions of Authentic Science and Science Learning at UtSTA member rate and 3 semester of UVU Credit.

    Reimbursement of the $640 comes through your LEA so make sure you know their process.
  • YOU CAN JOIN UtSTA TODAY AND SAVE $250 ON THIS REGISTRATION.
    This registration will pay for course registration fees for one person for the week of Three Dimensions of Authentic Science and Science Learning at non-USTA member rate.

Three Dimensional Science and Engineering

USBE has instituted a reimbursement program for teachers getting their endorsements.  You qualify to get reimbursed the full $600 plus the tuition of $141 if you pass with a C or better, IF YOUR DISTRICT is willing to work with USBE.  Contact your district for details and for verification that you will be reimbursed.  UtSTA, will NOT be reimbursing you.  If your district does not participant in this new program, the $600 is not refundable. 

Description: This course satisfies the Three Dimensional Science and Engineering Requirement for the new Science Core (6-8) Endorsement. -  In this class you will engage with science phenomena in authentic ways; dive into science and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and core ideas; and, reflect upon how this can be carried out by learners at all levels. You will actively participate with the science and one another during this intensive weeklong workshop after doing some preliminary reading and work before meeting in person. Final projects will be finished after the in-person workshop and shared with others in the course.

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION:

  • Registration for the course closes on June 9th. 
  • Member registration for the course is $600
  • Non member registration for the course is $850
