The cost for this course is $500 for members and $700 for nonmembers, plus a $63 SUU credit fee that will be paid by you directly to SUU.
This content teaching course will introduce you to the basics of biology including ecology, cell structure and function, anatomy, physiology, evolution, and classification. You will also identify ways to incorporate NGSS science practices and crosscutting concepts into the science classroom while studying life science.
The course emphasizes content and teaching practices that can be used in the classroom. Lesson plan creation is part of the course. Emphasis is on best practices used to teach this content in your classroom.

Upon successful completion, the participants will receive 3.0 Southern Utah University Credits.
USBE has instituted a reimbursement program for teachers getting their endorsements. You qualify to get reimbursed the full $500 if you pass with a C or better and are taking a qualifying course.
