Energy in the classroom is brought to you in a collaboration between the Governors Office of Energy Development and the Utah Science Teachers Association. This course is for Secondary Teachers 7-8th grade, Earth & Space Science, Physics & Chemistry that want to incorporate energy lessons into their classroom. The teachers will have access to over 35 lessons, each of which is directly tied to the SEEd standards and will be presented in the 3D pedagogy. Teachers will receive $220.00 worth of materials and $100 will be paid to their school to go toward the cost of a substitute. Lunch will be provided. The instructors are Dawn Monson and Barbara Gentry. The class is limited to 25 and will be taught at the SUU STEM Center 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City. Upon successful completion, the participants will receive 7 reliscensure points on their MIDAS account.
