Advanced Physics for Teachers

Description: The objective of Advanced Physics is to develop a genuine and in-depth understanding of the physics' core ideas: concepts regarding matter, motion, forces, and energy. These will be tied together with crosscutting concepts and investigated through authentic scientific practice in ways that are directly applicable to multiple levels of science teaching.  This course presumes that you have taken a two-semester sequence of college-level physics.  For more information about specific course content and objectives, contact Adam Johnston (ajohnston@weber.edu).

Instructor: Adam Johnston and John Taylor
