This course will introduce you to the basics of evolution learning about natural selection, speciation, adaptations, evidences and classification. Evolution is the foundation of biology and the unifying concept that ties all living things together. In this class you will also define the difference between science and religion to help you as a teacher know how to respond to the questions and concerns that students have about evolution.

This course is a content and teaching course. Emphasis is on best practices used to teach this content in your classroom. Creating lesson plans are required.
Upon successful completion, the participants will receive 3.0 Southern University credits. Participants will need to register with SUU and pay for the credit in addition to this UtSTA registration.
