OER Textbooks

OER Textbooks are ready! Each year, the State provides an updated copy of Science Textbooks that are specific to Utah Standards.

Books are available for FREE in PDF form at this link.

Books are available for hard copy purchase at this link.  The books are softbound with beautiful color covers and black and white interiors.   Costs run from $2.60 to $5.10 each (not including shipping).  Books are available for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, Earth, Biology, Physics (now updated to include PTW/CTE) and Chemistry.

2019 NSTA Regional Conference is on Oct 24-26 in SLC, UT

Start talking to your administrators now and let them know you would like to attend. That way, you can secure or earmark some PD funding for next couple of years.

Endorsement Courses

Online Summer Classes start May 10th. Thanks to the Stem Action Center, we are able to offer the courses for $250 instead of $400 (until the grant is used up.)  The following courses are being offered this summer:

• Anatomy
  
• Biochemistry
  
• Biology
  
• Chemistry 1
  
• Ecology
  
• Meteorology
  
• Physics 2
  
• Safety Certification ($15 cost for this 4 week course)
  

Face to face, week long summer courses start in June.  The Stem Action Center grant has greatly reduced the cost of these courses.  They are all offered for $250.  Our Elementary Stem courses are full, the registrations are still open for the following:

• Advanced Physics with Lab
  
• Chemistry 2
  
• Evolutionary Biology
  
• Historical Geology
  
• Physics 1
