Current USTA Member Summer Course Registration (Astronomy) - 3 BYU Semester Credits – $452.00
This registration will pay for course registration fees and BYU recording fees to give the course attendee 3 semester hour credits from Brigham Young University to fulfill USOE Science Endorsement course requirements along with USOE Professional Development Credit for re-licensure points.

Astronomy

Description: This course will focus on learning and teaching Astronomy. This week long course will include inquiry style learning with methods to reach and engage students in the study of Astronomy. Fabulous evening viewing opportunities occur each evening of the course.

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION:

3 semester hours of BYU or UVU Credit is available for an additional recording fee of $102 for BYU credit and $50 for UVU credit.
- PLEASE NOTE: Without Paying the additional recording fee for college credit this course WILL NOT post to a college transcript and therefore WILL NOT be accepted by USOE for Science Endorsement course requirements or school district lane changes. If you are taking this course to fulfill USOE Science Endorsement course requirements please make sure you pay the extra recording fee for college credit.
Housing and Meals will be provided for all participants.
You will need to arrive at Capitol Reef UVU Field Station on Sunday Evening June 22nd and the course will end by noon of June 26th.

Registration Costs are to cover the course instructor, meeting location(s), supplies, housing and meals (Breakfast, lunch and dinner during stay). NOTE: If you are not a current member of USTA you can renew your membership or join the Utah Science Teachers Association today ($6-10/year) and save $25 on your registration costs.
