*(Meets Elementary STEM Endorsement Force course requirements)(Also a PTRA Physics Teacher Resource Associates Course)

Physics 1

Description: This course will focus on the study motion through energy and sound.  PTRA/Modeling/ Utah Physics Standards are the emphasis of instruction. The physics is engaging, the food is good, and you may even like your lab partners.  The National PTRA program will help support the first ten registrants with a $250 stipend that can be used for registration or for equipment.  Build and learn from projects based physics, paper drag racers, bottle rockets, hot air balloons ideas that you can do with your students tomorrow if needed.  Fits any physics textbook or physics curriculum.

BYU Physics Department funded a bottle rocket launcher, paper rocket launcher and dancing flame (Rueben's Tube) for all participants. (April 26th, 2015)

So with PTRA funds and BYU Physics Department Funds this should be a great workshop.
